KAYI is an international group of companies established in 1991 with the construction of industrial buildings in Turkey. To give a brief history, the Group’s activities have grown up in the international arena starting in 1994 with Turkmenistan and expansion to Russia began in 1998 which constitutes substantial portion of its activities. Operations in Algeria and Kazakhstan began in 2002 followed by establishment of KAYI Energy in 2006 to contribute to resolving Turkey's rapidly growing energy demand. It is currently active in three sub-sectors namely hydroelectric plants, wind farms, and geothermal power plants. Extensive development activities and technical feasibility studies are carried out for prospective sites in different regions of Turkey in these three sub-sectors. It has started construction of its first hydroelectric plant which will be followed by 2 other hydroelectric plants. Lastly, operations in Lithuania and Bulgaria began after 2007 with the construction of shopping centers in their capital cities.
